For my third collaboration with Penhaligon’s (British perfumery, est. 1870), I was asked to create social-first content for their channels. I developed a playful, festive stop motion where the bottles appear to unbox and arrange themselves, echoing the brand’s whimsical character. I handled concept, shot list, styling, lighting, shooting, and edit, then paired the reel with captions and IG Stories that introduced Penhaligon’s fragrance profiling feature and my three chosen scents.

Role: Creative direction to delivery

Brief: Create social-first content to spotlight three scents and introduce the fragrance profiling feature.

Creative approach

  • Designed a stop motion animation where the doors of the advent calendar opened and the fragrances seemed to move themselves out of the box – aligning with the brand’s playful, whimsical identity.

  • Styled and shot supporting content that showcased my top three chosen scents and introduced Penhaligon’s fragrance profiling feature, helping followers find a scent suited to their personality.

  • Crafted festive visuals with warm tones and playful pacing to reflect the seasonal storytelling.

Execution

  • Storyboarded and pre-planned each frame for smooth stop motion.

  • Managed all production elements: lighting, styling, set-up, filming, editing, captions, and scheduling.

  • Delivered a short-form reel for Penhaligon’s own social channels, supported by a series of IG Stories that combined interactive elements with education.

Outcome

The campaign brought Penhaligon’s “Doors of Wonder” Advent Calendar to life in a format optimised for social, balancing festive magic with luxury detail. The content delivered strong engagement while showcasing Penhaligon’s heritage through a modern, creative-first lens.
