“Thanks so much, can't wait for this to go live”
Client: Penhaligons
Alexandra Cernanova Penhaligons Communications Director: “Oh, this is BEAUTIFUL! You have done an amazing job, well done!”
I was approached by Penhaligons (British perfumery, est. in 1870) to pick my top three scents and create a short form reel, supported with, captions and a series of short IG stories’ introducing and demonstrating their new fragrance profiling feature.
I immediately wanted develop a scent-inspired narrative, where every visual and stylistic decision was guided by the perfume’s personality. From concept to completion, I led creative direction - from the shoot location, reflecting the fragrance’s seasonal warmth, to styling looks to complement its luxurious, golden tones. Working both in front and behind the camera lens, I captured still and motion footage, shaping the story through a carefully pre-planned shot list…

Penhaligons’ Comms & Social Director
Living in Bath, I was often stopped the scent of Halfeti lingering around Penhaligon’s James St storefront. With its theatrical flair and meticulous detail, the brand has always struck me as more than fragrance; it evokes place, memory, and mood, engaging all the senses.
So when Penhaligon’s reached out, I was excited to immerse myself in their world - blending whimsy with modern luxury. The process was as fun as the brand itself, inviting a creative approach that felt instinctive yet expansive.
I wanted to push the brief to create assets that felt both timeless and unexpected. Whilst having worked both sides of the lens, this project marked a pivot into BTS creative direction, where I could allow myself to shape the full story arc from concept through to execution….

Using Final Cut Pro, I organised and edited down hours of content into a short-form video - blending transitioning scenes with animations and adding complimentary music to enhance the multi-sensory experience.
I scripted and scheduled social media assets to go live, ensuring for best-performing posting times, maintaining cohesion across strategic touch-points, as well as visual.
This project brought together my strengths - interpreting briefs, working end to end, creating a multi-sensory experience and understanding brand’s positioning. I love that this brief expanded my skillset to showcase Penhaligons’ playful approach, whilst still honouring their iconic heritage and digital destination.
