FARROW & BALL
A COUNTRYSIDE RENOVATION
Using colour, texture, and a quiet sense of place, I spent a summer break setting myself a personal brief: reimagine an old family, weather-worn French bistro set. My go to decor brand Farrow & Ball’s heritage tones became the palette for a visual story rooted in the surrounding countryside - bringing softness, mood, and character to a familiar piece of furniture. By pairing traditional materials with a gentle creative approach, the project explored how colour can transform not just an object, but the atmosphere it inhabits. While I’ve often worked on both sides of the lens, this piece marked a deeper shift toward behind-the-scenes creative direction I where I could shape the full arc of the process, from concept to styling, through to final execution.

A slow, seasonal refresh of a weather-worn French-style bistro set—reimagined using Farrow & Ball’s heritage tones to reflect the surrounding countryside.
This project combined tactile restoration with creative styling, transforming a forgotten garden corner into a peaceful place for pause.
I hand-sanded the table and chairs to strip back years of wear, prepped and primed each piece, then carefully painted them..
